Heritage Landscape Services (HLS) is a locally owned company servicing Northern Virginia since 1998.  We believe that we offer the best of both worlds:  we are as large as our national competitors while still providing the personalized service that you would expect from a boutique firm.  Our ownership is active in the daily operations of our organization.  While we may happen to be a landscape management company, we understand that we are first and foremost a customer service company.  

We have the capacity and personnel to handle all your landscape needs.  HLS maintains a 110-truck fleet with fully stocked mowing trailers.  Regular maintenance is performed on each machine, blades are always sharp, and each uniformed crew is outfitted with everything needed to provide quality service.  Twelve fully equipped water trucks and trailers are operated by experienced personnel, familiar with the culture of trees, shrubs, and flowers. 

Detail / pruning crews are well versed in a wide variety of plant material, and the proper methods for pruning, fertilizing and maintenance.  The detail crews provide support to the maintenance crews, ensuring all aspects of landscape management for all our properties exceed standards. 

The Plant/Turf Health Care department at HLS is educated in Integrated Pest Management (IPM), turf culture, and the proper care of trees and shrubs.  HLS utilizes an inspection and identification approach before treatment to avoid applying chemicals unnecessarily. 

HLS can perform nearly any landscaping task from core aeration, power seeding, tree / shrub installation and care, to watering, mulch blowing applications, bush hog, snow management, leaf management, flower installations, and enhancement installations. 

All of our vehicles and equipment are serviced in-house at our mechanical shop.  We employ six full-time service technicians to make sure that our equipment is operating at its peak efficiency.  An equipment breakdown will not keep us from servicing your property. 

We provide full-service snow management.  We often partner with our affiliate companies, KT Enterprises and Total Development Solutions (TDS), to provide comprehensive services that includes heavy equipment and labor if needed.  The management teams have extensive experience in snow management. 

HLS partners with our affiliate company, KT Irrigation, for all aspects of irrigation installation and service.  Our Area Managers and Production Supervisors also provide regular inspection and support of the irrigation system.  

Our communication and customer service programs are innovative and provide the client with detailed information regarding the landscape management of their properties.  Daily service reports are submitted to the client at each service visit and special services, or tasks are related in this communication.  You will always know when we service your property and what services were performed.
